Hi, there!
Thank you for your interests in Power Movie Player (PMP)! This ReadMe file explains some important features of PMP.
A.
The most important feature would be custom preview. Now you can choose anytime during a movie for preview. Follow the following steps:
1. Drag a movie file from the finder, PMP creates a preview of the movie in movie list.
2. Hold down option key and click on a movie in Movie List lets you browse the entire movie from beginning to end.
3. Let mouse button go while still holding down option key. Click on the movie browse window again would let you browse the movie frame by frame.
4. Let both mouse button and option key go. PMP creates the preview you choosed!
B.
To play any movie in the movie list, simply double-click on a movie, or hight the movie and press return.
C.
If you want to print out the list, choose Select All in Edit menu, Copy, and Paste in any text editor (i.e. Simple Text). From there, you can print out the list.
D.
While movie is playing, use control-up-arrow and control-down-arrow to play the previous and next movie. All the key strokes in Simple Movie Player also works here. i.e. You can press space-bar to start and stop the playing movie, up and down arrow to turn up and down the volume of the movie.
E.
If you are looking for a movie, simply enter the first letter of the movie and the movie list will jump to the next movie starts has the name starts with the letter. Enter the letter again and the movie list will jump to the next and so on. When the end is reached, movie list will start over from the beginning. As rule of the thumb, you can always sort the movie list and enter the letter. That way, the movie can be found faster!
There are many other features including sorting, different preview size, hide background, etc. Just play around and you should catch all of them quickly!
This is a full functional shareware. That means you can open and save the PMP document files. One restriction is that for unregistered copy, a registeration reminder would pop-up after 10 movies have being played.
